Trout fishermen come from all over the world to fish the Little Red, and enjoy it tremendously. The John F. Kennedy Dam is located here. It's a fun time for everyone and it always draws a large crowd.

There are many Arkansas state parks and Corp of Engineer parks around the lake to accommodate the many visitors that come during the camping season. Visitors come from March through September, and sometimes into October depending on the weather.
